Karstyn & Bennett: Love,simple, pure and special.

I am a wedding photographer because I love celebrating love and the people that fall head over heels into love.  One of my greatest joys is giving a couple an unforgettable memory of their day. I give 150% to everything I do.  I can’t bear the thought of someone not having a day they put so much time, effort, and love into not being captured.

No two weddings are the same, some start slow and some go in a blink of an eye.  As soon as I arrived, we jumped right into it and things were going so fast I started running just to cover everything I had planned to cover.  A little more than an hour before the sunset ceremony was set to begin, the mood was calm, and so happy that it flowed smoothly and to me, that is a testament to how perfect Karstyn and Bennett are for each other.  He is truly the smooth winds to her sail, and – quite simply – the ideal His for Hers.

Karstyn and Bennett, I consider myself blessed to have met you and been a part of your day. The warmth of heart and grace of you and all of your friends and family are completely beautiful and humbling.  It is­ a wonderful reminder of why I do what I do.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS. a birthday bash

I was so excited last weekend when I got invited to photograph Alex and Albert’s birthday party at D&B.

I love candy and I knew there would be plenty of that at this birthday bash.  Candy was the theme of the party but fun was really what happened.  I loved the idea of celebrating a birthday in a place that is known for games, arcades and pool tables but I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was something for everyone, including a candy table for the guest, how perfect is that?

Alex and Albert couldn’t be more different yet, because they are brothers they are also very similar, Both are sweet and quiet yet both have their own interest and their own sense of style. Alex and Albert are 2 out of the 4 boys in the family.  I was so pleasantly surprise to see that boys can be boys and still remain sweet and polite.  I really think that “sugar and spice and everything nice” would have been what is said of boys if they had only met these boys before coining the phrase for little girls.

I want to thank the Johnson’s for allowing me to be part of their fun celebration but specially, I want to thank their 4 boys for allowing me to tag behind them as they were playing and for allowing me to feel like a kid again.  Happy birthday Alex and Albert, may you get everything you wished for!
